Student Diversity Writings Multimedia Titles

Enhancing the students’ poetry readings with a bit of fun. This video was shown at a yearly city Celebrating Diversity event.

Challenge:

Every year the City of Columbia puts on a Celebrating Diversity event and this video, depicting students reading their poems on diversity, was to be shown as part of the event. The producer gave me a blank white canvas behind talking heads and said, “use your creativity.” The challenge was to come up with a way to keep the audience engaged.

Solution:

I devised a series of icons, video clips, words and effects that related to the poems and accompanied each poet on the screen to keep the audience visually entertained as the poems were recited.
